Matzaluna Italian Restaurant Anniversary Celebration to Benefit
F.I.S.H. of SanCap
In celebration of 23 years of giving people “Garlic Breath”, from December 1-21, Matzaluna will be donating 10% of select entree purchase price to F.I.S.H. of SanCap to help stock their pantry for the holiday season. Opened in 1994 as a sister restaurant of The Timbers Restaurant and Fish Market, Matzaluna is the place for thin crust,
wood-fired pizza and an awesome collection of hyper-local craft beer.
Mark Blust, VP of Marketing and Operations for the restaurant group states that the need for the services that F.I.S.H. provides is needed in our community. A point that he says was even more evident in a recent stop at their pantry, which had a waiting line to get into. With the holidays just around the corner, this opportunity to help just makes sense.
F.I.S.H OF SANCAP is a non-profit, staffed by more than 200 volunteers, assisting Sanibel and Captiva islanders and visitors with a wide range of services. For more than 30 years FISH has been a “neighbors helping neighbors” organization offering a wide range of human services including:
- Emergency financial assistance
- Food pantry
- Non-emergency transport on and off the Island
- Temporary loan of health equipment
- Hurricane preparedness information
- Daily hot meals program
