The Young Professionals Association of Sanibel & Captiva networking event began promptly at 5:30pm on Thursday August 20th allowing attendees to trickle in throughout the evening. Matzaluna provided a fun filled evening for the group, in which the YPA experienced their biggest turnout so far this year.
Guests indulged in classic wood-fired pizza, crispy calamari and gooey mozzarella sticks paired with a surplus of marinara sauce. Not only did participants appreciate the selection of traditional red and white wines, but they were also impressed by the variety of the recently raved about craft beers offered. Door prizes from BIG Arts & other area companies were won, connections were made and pictures were captured!
A few quick announcements of upcoming events and activities were made and recognitions were given out by YPA leader, Laura Richardson. And, Mark Blust, VP of Marketing & Operations for the Prawnbroker Restaurant Group, reminded everyone to lace up their sneakers for the new Matzaluna “Run Club” that meets at Matzaluna every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month for a run around the island with various lengths of loops. They meet back at Matzaluna for happy hour apps and Craft Beer specials!
