The Italian “link” in the Prawnbroker Restaurant Group’s chain of 10 Florida eateries, Matzaluna opened in 1994 and has become known as “Sanibel’s Italian Kitchen”. In addition to Sanibel’s only wood fired pizza oven, we offer traditional Italian favorites such as Veal Marsala, Shrimp Carbonera, Chicken Puttanesca, Eggplant Parmesan and a wide array of pastas and sauces, available in almost endless combinations.
“Iron Chef” award winner Sal Velez also offers a changing weekly specials menu featuring local seafood, choice steaks and his original chef’s creations. Our calamari is crispy, our sauces rich and flavorful, and our herbed olive oil and roast garlic is just waiting for you to dab it with our freshly hot crusty bread.
Matzaluna is conveniently located on Periwinkle Way, just a half mile from the causeway, and all of our menu items are available for carry out. Give us a call at (239)472-1998 when you go through the toll booth and your hot crispy pizza (or whatever else you may choose) will be awaiting you.
Eat, Drink and Be Merry…
Whether you prefer a chilled martini, a fine glass of red wine, a frozen margarita or a cold, local, craft draft beer, Matzaluna has something for you. Belly up to our friendly bar and pair up your favorite potent potable with one of our tasty appetizers or a crispy, thin crust wood fired pizza. Happy hour features discounted specials on cocktails, wines, beers, and select starters and all major sporting events are featured on one of our large screen HD televisions. Full dinners are also available at the bar, or if you prefer, relax in one of our many comfortable booths where our friendly staff will assist you in choosing a meal that is sure to please. Have a large group? Just give us a call (239)472-1998. Our upstairs balcony awaits and is available for parties from 6 to 60! Special dietary needs? We offer a large Gluten Free menu and will do our best to take care of your special requests. Our white paper table toppers and crayons await your children (or your) talent as an artist. Perhaps your artwork will make our display wall (as did author Stephen King). If you don’t have room for dessert, we will gladly pack up a cannoli or a slice of Keylime pie for you to enjoy later!
